Annual Meetings
The GCBA Annual Meeting brings together partner biofoundries, researchers, and stakeholders from around the globe to share progress, align on priorities, and strengthen international collaboration in biofoundry science.
The inaugural GCBA Annual Meeting took place in September 2025, held alongside the
Global Biofoundry Alliance Annual Meeting.
This gathering was hosted in Urbana, Illinois, home to the
University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and the
NSF iBioFoundry.
Partner biofoundries from across the globe convened to establish the GCBA’s collaborative frameworks,
share early research advances, and define the roadmap for international cooperation in biofoundries for scientific discovery.
